Walnut To The Beet

This hot pink blend of fibre-rich beets, crisp apples and omega- packed walnuts is tickled with a little turmeric, zesty lime and a splash of hydrating maple water.

Ingredients you'll need
  • 100g beetroot
  • 2 apples
  • A thumb of turmeric
  • 1 lime
  • 35g walnuts
  • 300ml maple water

  • A cupful of ice
Step by step this way

    Scrub your beetroot and coarsely grate it. Cut the apples into quarters and slice out the cores. Roughly chop the apples. Chop the turmeric. Finely grate the zest from lime. Slice off the white pith and discard it.

    Place the whole lime, zest, turmeric, apples, beetroot and walnuts into your blender. Slosh in 300ml of the maple water. Add a handful of ice and whizz till smooth.

    If you’re new to raw smoothies, please be aware that raw beetroot can be potent when juiced. Try tasting a little at first and drink it slowly.
