- 1 mango
- 1 banana
- 1cm slice of turmeric
- 2 medjool dates
- 250ml coconut drink
- A few ice cubes
- 1.
Slice the fat cheeks off the mango stone, then slice the thinner sides off the stone. Slice the mango flesh off the skin and add it to your blender. Slice as much flesh off the stone as you can and add that too.
- 2.
Peel the banana and break it into the blender. Cut a 1cm-thick slice off the thumb of turmeric. Peel and grate it into the blender (see our note below about using turmeric).
- 3.
Halve the dates and discard the stones. Roughly chop the dates and add to the blender. Pour in the coconut drink and add a handful of ice cubes.
- 4.
Whizz, taste and add a little more turmeric if you like. Then pour into a couple of glasses and serve.
- Tip
Yellow alert
Fresh turmeric has a warm, earthy flavour that blend sbeautifull with crunchy fresh apples and carrots. Start by adding a little turmeric, then taste and add more if you want a more powerful quick. Be warned!
