Spiced Pear & Chocolate Bonfire Banger

Juicy pear and mild, creamy courgette make perfect smoothie partners for warming spice and nutty cashews, all whizzed with a cool splash of dairy free chocolate mylk to make a sweet morning treat.

Ingredients you'll need
- 1 courgette
- 2 pears
- A pinch of mixed spice
- 35g cashews
- 250ml dairy-free chocolate mylk

Step by step this way

Trim the courgette and roughly chop it. Quarter the pears and slice out the cores, then roughly chop the pears. Pop both into your blender. Add a pinch of mixed spice and tip in the cashews.

Pour in the chocolate mylk and add a few ice cubes. Whizz till smooth, then pour into a couple of glasses and serve.
- Tip
A nice long soak
If you have time, soak the cashews in water overnight. Drain, rinse and add to the blender with the rest of the ingredients. Soaking makes the cashews easier to blend, and may make them easier to digest.
