Spiced Golden Milk

A pack of pears, chock full of antioxidents, get a pinch and a punch of flavour (and nutrients) from warming cinnamon, mineral-rich turmeric and a crack of invigorating black pepper, cooled with a splash of dairy-free almond milk.

Ingredients you'll need
- 5 pears
- A thumb of turmeric
- 35g flaked almonds
- A pinch of cinnamon
- 300ml almond milk
From your kitchen
- Black pepper (optional)
- A cupful of ice
Step by step this way

Quarter the pears and slice out the cores. Roughly chop them. Chop the turmeric (no need to peel). Add the pear chunks, turmeric and flaked almonds to your blender.

Sprinkle in a pinch of cinnamon. Pour over the almond milk. Crack in a little black pepper if you like, then add ice and whizz till smooth.
