Persian Kale Smoothie

Our favourite supergreen, nutrient-rich kale, is given an exotic makeover with omega-packed almonds, sweet dates, zesty vitamin-filled orange and warming cinnamon.

Ingredients you'll need
  • 100g kale
  • 1 orange
  • 2 medjool dates
  • 35g flaked almonds
  • 300ml maple water
  • A pinch of cinnamon

Step by step this way

    Strip the kale leaves from the thick cores and finely chop the leaves. Discard the cores. Zest the orange and carve away the white pith. Discard the pith. Roughly chop the orange flesh. Remove the stones from the dates. Chuck everything into your blender along with the almonds, maple water and a pinch or two of cinnamon. Add some ice and whizz. Taste and add more cinnamon if you like.
