A dreamy green sweetheart of a smoothie, whizzing crisp, seasonal pears, with velvety banana and toffee-sweet Medjool dates, plus a tender handful of baby leaf spinach, nutty cashews and a cool glug of almond drink.

Ingredients you'll need
  • 2 pears
  • 1 banana
  • 35g cashews
  • 50g baby leaf spinach
  • 2 medjool dates
  • 330ml Ultimate almond drink

  • A handful of ice cubes
Step by step this way

    Slice the pears into quarters and cut out the cores. Add the pears to your blender. Peel and break in the banana. Tip in the cashews and tuck in the baby leaf spinach.

    Crush the Medjool dates on a board with your thumb, pull out and discard the stones. Pop the dates into the blender.

    Pour in 330ml ultimate almond drink (keep the rest of the carton for this week’s other smoothies) and add a handful of ice cubes. Whizz till smooth and creamy, pour into 2 glasses and serve.

  • Tip

    A nice long soak
    If you have time, soak the cashews in water overnight. Drain, rinse and add to the blender with the rest of the ingredients. Soaking makes them easier to blend and may make them easier to digest.
