Orange & Spiced Hazelnut Shake

Kale brings its leafy green-ness to this thick, creamy smoothie made with a crunchy handful of chopped hazelnuts, sweet bananas and freshly squeezed orange juice, blitzed with a warming dash of aromatic cinnamon.

Ingredients you'll need
  • 50g kale
  • 2 bananas
  • 25g chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 orange
  • A pinch or 2 of cinnamon
  • 330ml hazelnut drink

  • A handful of ice cubes

  • Grater
  • Measuring jug
Step by step this way

    Roughly chop the kale, discarding any really thick cores, and add it to your blender. Peel and break in the bananas. Tip in the chopped hazelnuts. Add a generous pinch of ground cinnamon. Grate in the orange zest and squeeze in the juice.

    Pour in 330ml hazelnut drink (save the rest for this week’s other smoothies). Add a handful of ice cubes. Whizz till smooth, then pour into a couple of glasses and serve.
