Sip your way into the new year with this zippy green smoothie. It's made with creamy bananas and tender baby leaf spinach, blitzed with zesty clementines and a kick of fresh turmeric spice.

Ingredients you'll need
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 clementines
  • A thumb of turmeric
  • 50g baby leaf spinach
  • 330ml ultimate almond drink

Step by step this way

    Peel and break the bananas into your blender. Peel the clementines, break them into segments and add them to the blender. Roughly chop the turmeric (see our turmeric tip) and add it to the blender. Tuck in the baby leaf spinach.

    Pour in 330ml ultimate almond drink (save the rest of the carton for this week’s other smoothies), add a few ice cubes and whizz till smooth. Serve straight away.

    Midas spice
    Turmeric really does have a golden touch, so prepare it on a glass board, or one you can wash up straight away. You can also wear gloves and an apron while preparing it, to keep your hands and clothes stain free.

    Nice & freezy
    For a creamier, thicker smoothie chop up the bananas, pop them in a suitable container and freeze them for 6 hours, or overnight. Add them to the bender as directed, but leave out the ice cubes when blitzing everything together.
