Green Pineapple Shake

This tropical twist on a a smoothie is a delicious way to add greens to your breakfast. Baby leaf spinach is blended with sweet, juicy pineapple and creamy banana. A splash of cashew drink brings them all together. It's an easy way to pack fruit and veg into your day.

Ingredients you'll need
  • ½ pineapple
  • 1 banana
  • 100g baby leaf spinach
  • 500ml cashew drink
Step by step this way

    Use a sharp knife to slice the leaves off the pineapple then halve it. Set 1 half aside (see our tip to use it up). Slice the skin off the remaining half. Use the tip of your knife to scoop out any tough ‘eyes’. Roughly chop the pineapple, discarding any woody bits of core. Add it to your blender.

    Peel the banana and break it into the blender. Add in the spinach, 500ml cashew drink and a handful of ice cubes. Blend till smooth. Pour into 2 large glasses and serve.

    Reduce food waste
    Wrap your spare pineapple and store it in the fridge. It’ll keep for 2-3 days. Use it in fruit salads, chop and serve it with yogurt and granola, or slice it and grill then serve with a scoop of ice cream.
