Feeling a little green around the gills? If not, try this spooky smoothie (the creature from the Black Lagoon swears by it). It’s a creepily creamy blend of cashews, pears and bananas whizzed with baby spinach and crunchy coconut flakes.

Ingredients you'll need
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 pear
  • 35g cashews
  • 100g baby leaf spinach
  • 15g coconut flakes
  • 330ml oat drink
From your kitchen
  • A few ice cubes
You'll need

  • Measuring jug
Step by step this way

    Peel and break the bananas into your blender. Quarter the pear and slice out the cores. Finely chop the pear then add to the blender. Tip in the cashews (see our tip below) and add the spinach.

    Sprinkle in most of the coconut flakes. Pour in 330ml oat drink (save the rest for your other scary smoothies this week) and drop in a few ice cubes. Whizz till smooth. Pour into glasses and top the remaining coconut flakes.
