Ingredients you'll need
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 celery sticks
  • 1 lime
  • 1 tsp maca root powder
  • 330ml brown rice drink

  • A couple of ice cubes

Step by step this way

    Peel and break the bananas into your blender. Roughly chop the cucumber. Trim the ends off the celery sticks, then chop them and add them to the blender, along with the cucumber.

    Halve the lime and squeeze in the juice from 1 half. Tip in 1 tsp maca root powder and pour in 330ml brown rice drink (save the rest for your other 2 smoothies). Add a few ice cubes, then whizz smooth, pour into 2 glasses and serve.

    You Maca Me So Happy
    Maca root, sometimes called Peruvian ginseng, is native to the Andes Mountains and looks a bit like a long skinny turnip. In its dried, powdered form, it has an earthy nuttiness to it.
