Carrot & Ginger Thickie

A bountiful breakfast smoothie, brimming with crunchy carrots, velvety banana and sweet dried dates blitzed with nutty oats, fiery fresh ginger and a cool dash of oat drink.

Ingredients you'll need
- 2 carrots
- 1 banana
- 1cm slice of ginger
- 20g oats
- 50g dried dates
- 330ml oat drink

- A few ice cubes
You'll need
- Blender
- Measuring jug
Step by step this way

Scrub and roughly chop the carrots (no need to peel them) and add them to your blender. Peel and break in the banana. Cut a 1cm slice from the ginger and add that (no need to peel it, unless you prefer to).

Add the dates and oats to the blender. Pour in 330ml oat drink (save the rest for this week’s other smoothies) and add a few ice cubes. Blitz till smooth, thick and creamy.
