Carrot, Clementine & Cacao Thickie

It’s got orange things, it’s chocolatey… but you don’t have to whack it on the table to enjoy it. Whizz carrots and clementines with banana, oats and cacao nibs to make this delicious drink. No table whacking please.

Ingredients you'll need
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 clementines
  • 1 banana
  • 20g oats
  • 5g cacao nibs
  • 330ml brown rice drink

  • A few ice cubes
Step by step this way

    Scrub the carrots and roughly chop them. Add the carrots to your blender. Peel the clementines and pull as much white pith off them as possible. Break the clementines into segments and add them to the carrots.

    Peel and break in the banana. Shake in the oats and tip in the raw cacao nibs.

    Pour in 330ml brown rice drink (save the rest of the carton for this week’s other smoothies). Add a handful of ice cubes and blend till thick and smooth. Pour into a couple of glasses and serve.
