Blueberry, Cashew & Banana Smoothie

This creamy smoothie will make you happy when it gives you the blues. Blueberries, that is, and they're full of sweet, tangy flavour that blends up a treat with banana, orange and cashews along with a hydrating splosh of maple water.

Ingredients you'll need
  • 1 banana
  • 1 orange
  • 125g blueberries
  • 35g cashews
  • 300ml maple water

  • A few ice cubes
Step by step this way

    Peel the banana and break it into your blender. Slice the skin and white pith from the orange and discard it. Use a small, sharp knife to slice the juicy segments out of the orange's papery membranes and add them to the blender. Squeeze the membranes over the blender to squeeze out any juice.

    Tip in the blueberries and cashew nuts. Pour in 300ml of the maple water and add a few ice cubes. Whizz till smooth and creamy.

  • Tip

    A nice long soak
    If you have time, soak the cashews in water overnight. Drain, rinse and add to the blender with the rest of the ingredients. Soaking makes them easier to blend and may make them easier to digest.
