Tasting notes:
The Giol winery is the oldest recorded winery in Italy. This means they must have figured out a thing or two about quality wine production by now, achieving organic status in 1986. Their mission is to grow the best possible grapes with the utmost respect to the environment. This Pinot Grigio is a perfect example of such thoughtful wine growing and winemaking. Fermenting with its own yeasts before bottling gives a slightly wilder aromatic, and a nutty, fuller texture than one would naturally associate with the Pinot Grigio variety.
