Keep refrigerated and consume within 24 hours after opening. Suitable for home freezing - freeze immediately upon receipt, can be stored frozen for up to 3 months. Defrost in the fridge, once defrosted consume within 24 hours.
Cooking Instructions:
Pat the hake dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
Use a large non-stick or cast-iron skillet. Heat 1–2 tbsp olive oil (or butter) over medium-high heat.
Place the fish skin-side down in the hot pan. Press gently for 10–15 seconds so it doesn’t curl. Fry for 3–4 minutes until crisp and golden.
Flip and cook other side for 2–3 minutes until opaque and flakes easily.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fish.
Ensure flesh is cooked through.
