A 1 litre potted plant of Verbena bonariensis 'Buenos Aires', (Purple top vervain) a lovely, clump forming hardy perennial which is particularly suited for growing though other plants to give a 'naturalistic' look to a border. Buenos aires is a slightly more compact cultivar, bearing mulitple clusters of purple/pink flowers on its stiff, square branched stems. It is drought tolerant, once established, low maintenance and is attractive to certain bees and butterfies and grows to 100-120cm. Good for cutting.

Producer

Jo Wright and her team at Organic Blooms work hard to bring organic flowers to your door. Based in Gloucestershire, they run as a social enterprise, providing jobs for those who might struggle in a traditional workplace. Horticultural therapy is at the heart of what they do – gardening and plant-tending being excellent options for those with varying support needs. We work with them to plan upcoming crops, making sure each flower is reliable, interesting and satisfying for their staff to grow. We’re proud to say that, because of our support, they’ve been able to hire more people than ever before.
