- 500g carrots

Try a spicy cabbage side with your Spanish beef. Blanch a shredded red cabbage in boiling water. In a big frying pan, fry chopped onion and a handful of diced cooking chorizo in olive oil. Add a splash of white wine, the cabbage, grated garlic cloves and a splash of red wine vinegar. Simmer till tender.
Instead of roasties, what about patatas bravas? Roast chunks of parboiled potato in plenty of olive oil till golden and crisp. make a sauce by roasting 4 chopped tomatoes and a chopped red pepper till softened. Whizz them with a pinch of paprika. Spoon the sauce over the roasties and top with chopped parsley.
