Ghoulish Smoothie

Feeling a little… haunted? We think you'll be all-white after drinking this deliciously ghostly blend of creamy cashews, sweet pears and velvety bananas whizzed with boo-berries (like blueberries, but spooky) and creeeepy – er, we mean crunchy – coconut flakes.

Step by step this way
  • 1.

    Peel and break the bananas into your blender. Pull the grapes from their stalks and add them to the blender. Tip in the cashews (see our tip below).Crush the cardamom pods with the back of a knife and crush them to open the papery husks. Remove the black seeds and add to the blender.

    Sprinkle in most the coconut flakes, saving a pinch for garnish. Pour in 330ml oat drink (save the rest for your other scary smoothies this week) and drop in a few ice cubes. Whizz till smooth. Pour into glasses and top with the remaining coconut flakes.

    For a ghostly coloured smoothie, you can pass the grapes through a sieve to remove the tiny flecks of grape skins.
