A lover's guide to Brussels

We simply love Brussels. Absolutely adore them. Although we're not alone we do know that some people may disagree. We reckon anyone can love sprouts. You've just got to know what to do with them. 

Criss cross
It's popular to make a criss cross in the base of sprout, but we prefer halving or quartering. they cook quicker this way and absorb more flavours. 

Shred your sprouts (cut them into thin slices) and pan-fry them with the things they love. Shredded sprouts are also fab in a stir-fry. 

Bacon & Parmesan
Sprouts like to lap up big, bold flavours. A Parmesan and smoky bacon combo is the ultimate. Shred or quarter your sprouts. Sizzle some bacon in a little oil till golden. Add the sprouts and a drop of water. Fry till glossy and green. Crumble in some chestnuts if you have any. Season with lots of black pepper. Finish with a little Parmesan. Badda bing, badda bang, badda Brussels.
