This organic Gorgonzola Dolce is a stunning cheese with blue-green veins running through it. Blissful, creamy and versatile, we challenge you to find something that this cheese does not go with (within cheese reason).
Protected by a DOP (protected designation of origin) Gorgonzola can only be produced in 10 provinces in Lombardy and Piedmont and we have what we think is the best of the best, aged in temperature controlled rooms over three months to mature its flavour.
Gorgonzola is an excellent table cheese but can also be used in sauces for pasta and gnocchi. Store this cheese in the fridge, wrapped in cling film. Care should be taken as it’s quite creamy and likely to ooze out of shape if left out of the fridge.
After a lengthy search to find really good quality organic Italian charcuterie meats and cheeses we were lucky enough to find Ellie and Stefano, a wonderfully chirpy and kind couple who import, in our opinion, the best Italian meats and cheeses. They believe that the finest raw ingredients come from a system of traditional organic farming where the land and the animals are respected. It all started six years ago when brothers Stefano and Enrico Chessa started selling Sardinian cheeses and cured meats to London restaurants with nothing more than a van and a passion to bring to London the delicious food that they were used to back home. The cheeses came from small farmhouse producers and the products were often seasonal. Their small and passionate team continue to run the business from their warehouse in Acton.
Pasteurised cow's milk (98.3%), Salt*, Calf Rennet, Inedible rind (* = approved non organic ingredient)

Remove from fridge and packaging 20 minutes before serving. This is another versatile cheese and can be enjoyed as a table cheese, melted through pasta, on a pizza or in a sandwich with parma ham. Refrigerated between 1 and 6 degrees. Once opened keep well wrapped with wax paper or cling film to prevent exposure to the air. Not suitable for home freezing.
