Bring autumnal colour to your garden with this potted Chinese Lantern Perennial Plant from Organic Blooms. A bold perennial known for its distinctive lantern-like orange flowers that bring colour and structure late in the season.

What makes me special?

- Eye-catching autumnal colour. Deep orange, lantern-like calyces appear in late summer to early autumn, following delicate cream-yellow, bell-shaped flowers.
- Elegant flowers first. Soft blooms appear early, before the brighter display arrives.
- Great for borders or containers. Growing to around 60cm tall, it suits a mid-border position or can be grown in a container.
- Decorative cut and dried stems. Stems can be cut and dried, making a striking addition to arrangements indoors.
- Naturally spreading growth habit. Spreads via rhizomes just under the soil surface, which is why many gardeners choose to contain it in a pot.
- Vigorous and low maintenance. A robust perennial that establishes easily and needs very little once settled.
- Simple to settle in. Unpack promptly, water well and place in a light spot to help it establish.
- Sustainably delivered. Arrives at your table with zero air miles and zero pointless plastic.

Handle with care. Generally safe to handle, but all parts except the ripe fruits are toxic if ingested. Wash hands after contact or wear gardening gloves, as the plant contains solanine.

Producer

Jo Wright and her team at Organic Blooms work hard to bring organic flowers to your door. Based in Gloucestershire, they run as a social enterprise, providing jobs for those who might struggle in a traditional workplace. Horticultural therapy is at the heart of what they do – gardening and plant-tending being excellent options for those with varying support needs. We work with them to plan upcoming crops, making sure each flower is reliable, interesting and satisfying for their staff to grow. We’re proud to say that, because of our support, they’ve been able to hire more people than ever before.
