Warm up with our Sticky Toffee Pudding for Two from Fieldgoods, a soft, spiced date sponge drenched in a rich butterscotch sauce. It's an easy way to round off a Sunday roast or a cosy night in.
What makes me special?
- Sticky and saucy. Nearly half of each pudding is a silky butterscotch sauce made with double cream, butter, and muscovado sugar. It soaks into the sponge as it bakes, so every mouthful is sticky and rich.
- Soft date sponge. Dates give the sponge a deep, caramel sweetness and a soft, cake-like crumb. They help keep it lovely and moist too.
- Gently spiced. Cinnamon, ginger, and a pinch of cloves add a warming note. It's a cosy, wintry flavour that's perfect on a cold evening.
- Two portions. There's enough for two, and it's lovely with a little cream or custard on the side. A scoop of vanilla ice cream works brilliantly too.
- Quick to bake. Pop it in the oven from chilled for 25-30 minutes and it's ready. Let it rest for a moment before serving, as the sauce will be very hot.
- Vegetarian. It's suitable for vegetarians, so it's a pudding the whole table can share.
