Why?
Our boxes are designed to arrive weekly so you’ve fresh food and a variety of flavours. Weekly boxes help our farmers plan and prevent waste, too. You can adjust the frequency if weekly is not your cup of tea.
Enjoy a weekly fish box delivery with our Fantastic Fish Box, filled with three sustainably-sourced cuts, each perfect for feeding two people. One fish will be ready to eat, one ready to cook and the third can be popped in your freezer for later in the week.

All of our fish and seafood is responsibly sourced and independently graded 1-3 by the Marine Conservation Society (MCS). This means that the stocks the fish come from are in good health, and that the fishers use sustainable, ocean-friendly methods to catch and land their stock. You’ll even save by choosing a fish subscription box, rather than buying your fish individually, and your box will be delivered sustainably to your door each week.

To make sure you get the best, most sustainably-sourced fish, from time to time, we may need to send you a different fish to the ones listed. Sometimes, the selection may include shellfish, such as crab (crustaceans).

With this curated box, we’ve picked a fixed selection of sustainably sourced fish and seafood from our trusted suppliers, so you won’t be able to swap the contents in this box.

We work hard to make sure our boxes reflect what's available each week. This means the contents can vary quite a bit from what's show in the photo.

Cod Fillets, Abel & Cole, pack of 2 (260g min)
There’s a reason cod is our most popular fish. This pair of fillets are perfect in batter, or try them pan fried, steamed, or roasted. A super easy, quick fish to cook and only needs little seasoning as it’s brilliant tasting all by itself. Our cod will come from both Icelandic and Norwegian Seas, it will be caught by longline, gill net, or demersal otter trawl, and will have an MCS rating of 1/2.
Caution: Although every care has been taken to remove bones, some may remain.
Fish Pie Mix, Abel & Cole (340g)
In this fish pie mix you’ll get a helping of white fish, smoked haddock and organic salmon. Our fish pie mix changes ever so slightly with the seasons and salmon may very occasionally be replaced with another white fish.
Smoked Salmon, Organic, Severn & Wye Smokery (100g)
Looking for show-stopping quality salmon? Glenarm Organic Salmon sustainably farm this fresh, organic salmon in Northern Ireland, which is smoked by Severn & Wye – an advocate of traditional, artisanal curing and smoking methods. In fact, they’ve been perfecting their methods for over 40 years. The salmon is smoked over oak wood chips and shavings, then matured for at least three days. What makes this salmon all the more special is the cut. The ‘D-Cut’, which goes from back to belly, ensures that every bite is evenly smoked, with the same succulent, creamy, melt-in-the-mouth texture. The result? Slices of rich, flavoursome meat and a strong, smoky outer layer, every time.
FSH07 - Handpicked 50/50 Cornish Crab, Seafood & Eat It (100g)
A marvellous mix of white and brown crab to evoke the classic taste of the British seaside. Handpicked in Cornwall, arguably the most seaside-y part of Britain.
Hake Fillets, Abel & Cole, pack of 2 (260g)
Great for a fish pie, hake’s firm, sweet, white meat makes it one of our best fish. It’s got a medium flake and a milder flavour than cod.
Our hake comes from both Cornwall and the Irish/North Seas. From Cornwall it will either be gill or fixed netted and have an MCS rating of 1. When caught in the Irish/North Sea, it will be pelagic/demersal otter trawled and have an MCS rating of 2.
Caution: Although every care has been taken to remove bones, some may remain.
Plaice Fillets, Abel & Cole (320g min)
Plaice is delicious grilled, with a little lemon juice. It comes filleted with the light skin on, to hold it together during cooking.
Our plaice is demersal otter trawled, and comes from Cornwall/Devon. It has an MCS rating of 2.
Caution: Although every care has been taken to remove bones, some may remain.

Allergen information: Abel & Cole handles celery, celeriac, peanuts and nuts on site. Due to our packing process and re-use of boxes there is a risk of cross-contamination from these, and all other allergens.

With help from the MCS, we selectively source our fish and seafood from responsibly-managed fisheries and organic farms, so it’s easier for you to make the right choice.
