With an aromatic style, the organic Rioja Matarana Blanco picks up minerals inherited in the soils of Rioja beautifully. Made from the first documented grape in the region, Viña Ijalba have decided to resurrect the variety despite its low yield. 10% of the wine is oaked to give it a complex, creamy and nutty nuance, which is balanced against fresh citrus notes and a stone fruit character. Expect a long, round finish on this Spanish white.
