Sam's Texan BBQ Sauce

An easy recipe to make your very own sticky, rich sauce just in time for barbeque season


  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 4 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 tbsp demerara sugar
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 400ml boiling water
  • Sea salt
  • Freshly ground pepper

1. Sprinkle 2 tbsp smoked paprika into a pan and stir in 4 tbsp tomato ketchup, 2 tbsp demerara sugar, 2 tbsp Dijon mustard and a good pinch of salt and pepper.
2. Pour in 400ml boiling water and stir to combine. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15 mins till the sauce is thick.
3. Use to glaze burgers, sausages, ribs or steaks before cooking, or as a tableside condiment.
