Try your ox tongue poached and served as a cold cut, or boiled, dusted in flour and then fried in olive oil with sage and capers. All of Daylesford’s organic British Beef cows graze and forage freely on clover-rich, organic pastures. Animal welfare is the number one priority for our friends at Daylesford, and their cows are raised with care and respect, in line with compassionate, organic farming principles.

Storage & prep

Keep refrigerated. Place the tongue in a sauce pan with the salt and add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and cook until the outer skin begins to peel off, about 2 ½ to 3 hours. Peel off the thick outer skin and serve.

Suitable for freezing. Freeze on day of delivery and consume within one month. Defrost thoroughly and use within 24 hours, do not refreeze once thawed.
