A rustic and hands-off, natural red wine from the Meinklang clan in Austria and Hungary. Meinklang boast a staggering 2,000 hectares of biodynamically-certified land, on which they raise animals and plant a vast variety of different crops, including vines. Their commitment to responsible and restorative agriculture is some of the most impressive we’ve seen, ensuring their entire estate acts as one symbiotic ecosystem, which negates the need for chemical use. This medium-bodied red blend is formed of local varieties Zweigelt and St Laurent and is incisive, tangy with dashes of redcurrant and tamarind - reminisent of a fresh Beaujolias.

Grape: Zweigelt, St. Laurent
Region: Burgenland, Austria
Vineyard: Meinklang
Vintage: 2018
ABV: 11.5%
- This wine starts off fizzy, but this will dissipate after an hour or so. This is intentional and helps protect the wine (so less suplhur is needed) but also lifts the tasting notes.
