Let's play a little game...

In this mix you'll find an exciting variety of different peppers, from the mild to the very very hot. Think of it as chilli roulette. Quite brilliantly, these are all from the UK and organic, which is pretty pioneering and has taken a tremendous amount of hard work and organic dedication. We're pushing the boundaries of what can be grown in the UK.

Varieties will vary week to week but will include:

Jalapeno – a mild chilli but you might find our organic ones have a bit more warmth than conventional.
Habanero – medium heat, popular in Mexican cooking.
The Dorset Naga – a hot variety, feel those endorphins.
Scotch bonnet – a medium chilli with a fiery reputation.
Peter pepper – a milder variety for those who like to pick a peck.
Trinidad scorpion  - as you can tell by the name this is a pretty serious chilli, gloves on.
Padron pepper – these cheeky green peppers are a lottery, mild or fiery, share if you dare.
Biquinho  - a very mild red or yellow little pointy fellow.
Surtsey – a very mild variety.

Country of Origin - UK

Our chillies come by way of what is now a third generation family business, originating in the fertile fields of Sicily. Two young boys, Francesco and Salvatore, followed in their fathers' footsteps over 50 years ago, and in 1977, their paths would cross in England, having come over with their parents 10 years earlier. The two bonded over their love of growing the best veg, in the Sicilian way, and joined forces buying the 28-acre Smallford. Francesco's son Sam and Salvatore's son Joe are now keeping their fathers' passion and tradition alive, growing the best tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers around in state-of-the-art greenhouses that keep things as sustainable as can be – recycling irrigation and roof water, and re-using the by-products from heating the glasshouse to enrich the plants' environment with CO2, important in plant growth. To top it off, all the tomato and pepper plants are pollinated by busy bees. Brilliant all round.
