This is delicate, sunset pink just like those classic Provencal rosés you get at Cannes. It is also bone dry but because it is so light and delicate it is very easy to drink and very versatile. It’s liquid elegance without the designer price, and it tastes of summer all year round, whatever’s on the menu.
Domaine de La Tour, Beaucaire. With a strong environmental conscience and a commitment to organic farming the Cluzel family took over their beautiful property 5 years ago, transforming it into a fully organic vineyard. Their successful quest for pure, unadulterated varietal characteristics in their wines is evident. The pressing and subsequent vinification (making into wine) of the grapes in steel lined concrete vats takes place at the heart of the vineyards enabling the grapes to be instantly pressed after picking, capturing maximum freshness and flavour and avoiding any excessive use of sulphur.

Drink it cold, straight from the fridge. This rosé goes best with couscous, rice salads, sardines, barbecued lamb, stuffed peppers and shellfish, but it’s very versatile. Not suitable for home freezing.
