Emma's Zingy Blood Orange Granita

Granita is a sorbet-ish dessert from Sicily. Our organic blood oranges are Sicilian too, and are ace in this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 4 mugs of blood orange juice (you can use any juicy fruit)
  • 1 mug of sugar
  • 1 mug of water

Method

1. Put the juice and water into a saucepan over medium heat. Add the sugar and stir till dissolved. Pour into a freezer friendly container.
2. Once cool, pop in freezer till slushy. Use a fork to break up the mix every half hour, 3 times.
