A brilliant banger is a beautiful thing and we’ve recently redone them to make them everything a brilliant British banger should be. In an effort to give you the meatiest sausage possible, we’ve put in a pinch of rusk – just enough to hold the flavour in the sausage, and keep it nice and moist.
These organic pork sausages are from Laverstoke Park in Hampshire, where the pigs are free to root about outside and feel the wind rushing over their tails, the cool mud at their feet like happy, healthy pigs should. The fantastic flavour and quality of the meat is a great base for the carefully selected herbs and spices that make up these charming chipolatas.
We get our sausages from Laverstoke Park in Hampshire. The pigs have acres of glorious of room to roam around in as well as sheds in which they can shelter from the sun and rain. In summer, to ensure they don't get sunburn, they have wallows for them to cover themselves in mud. When night draws in, they sleep in cosy straw-filled huts. Laverstoke Park is a Grade II listed park of approximately 275 rolling acres which include the upper reaches of the River Test. The farm is a haven of biodiversity and forward thinking organic farming. They have complex grass leys containing over 30 different grasses, clovers and herbs as well as a diverse mix of hedges, trees, animals and crops which all contribute to furthering the biodiversity.
