These chocolately-brown Kalamata olives have a beautifully rich yet mellow flavour, and are firm and meaty in texture. They are not overpoweringly salty like some olives can be, and are pitted. They are lovely eaten just on their own as an accompaniment to drinks, or twinned with cubes of Feta cheese and a mint leaf. Delicious added to a Greek salad with fresh tomato, cucumber and Feta, you can also mix them into pasta sauces to add a touch of robust flavour.
Organico is a small company that sources its olives from small farmers and family-run co-operatives in Greece, who harvest the olives by hand using traditional methods.
