This is the very best tinned yellow fin tuna fillet - nothing like your regular supermarket tuna chunks! We were knocked out by the superb taste and texture of the fish, not to mention how appetising it looks in the tin. The tuna is pale in colour and has a lovely buttery flavour and succulent texture that is enhanced by the organic sunflower oil. Eat this tuna mixed with our mayonnaise in sandwiches, or dolloped onto a baked potato. Alternatively, it makes a lovely component of Salade Nicoise, with olives, hard boiled egg, potato, lettuce, anchovies, tomato and vinaigrette - a real classic!
As a company we decided we should only sell the most ethically-sourced tinned fish available. This tuna is fished in the North East Atlantic, and follows strict regulations set by the Earth Island Institute dolphin-safe program. Fish4Ever does not use factory ships or dragnets, and the tuna shoal is located by echo sounder and caught in a special net that has large meshes to allow small fish to escape. Unwanted fish or sea mammals that are caught in the net are sorted on board the boat and quickly returned to the sea. Fishing is restricted to certain periods of the year. Fish 4 Ever is the only range of tinned fish in the UK to promote explicit sustainability criteria. Fish 4 Ever products do not endanger dolphins, turtles, birds, sharks or albatrosses. To top it all off, they also use organic, naturally grown land ingredients.
