This rich and creamy yoghurt has a brilliant hint of butterscotch that’ll make you want to don a knitted vest, hike up your socks and go off exploring the local countryside. It’s also in a sweet little pot that’s perfect for picnics – and you’ll have plenty of space in your satchel for lashings of ginger beer.
Like all Brown Cow yogurts, it's made with pure, organic Guernsey milk from clover-munching cows in Somerset. Few dairy farmers rear Guernsey cows these days, so this yogurt is wholly unique.
Judith and Clive make these artisan yogurts which, quite frankly, are the best darn yogurts we've ever tried. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall shares our sentiments and he now has Judith and Clive producing yogurts for his River Cottage brand.
Their secret is the 100% rich, creamy organic Guernsey milk they use to make them. Judith and Clive have 100 Guernsey diary cows on Perridge Farm, which they inherited from Judith's father.
The farm is in village of Pilton, Somerset, right on the South of the Mendip Hills with wonderful views across the Vale of Avalon to Glastonbury Tor, and it's a haven for wildlife. The cows love it. They get to munch on wild flowers and dawdle with rabbits, hares, badgers, butterflies and a myriad of other insects surrounding them.
