- Our guiding principles
Organic is more than growing vegetables without chemicals. It's about doing everything responsibly and sustainably.
Food
Our organic food is grown and made to high quality standards, with the minimal amount of processing and packaging possible.
We do not use hydrogenated fats and controversial additives including aspartame, tartrazine and MSG.
Environment and wildlife
Along with our farmers we maximise renewable resources and recycling, and minimise pollution and waste.
We work within natural systems and cycles in all respects, from the soil to plants and animals.
Organic farms are havens for wildlife, providing homes for bees, birds and butterflies. In fact, the UK Government's advisors found that plant, insect and bird life is up to 50% greater on
organic farms.
Animal welfare
All our farmers treat livestock ethically, meeting the physiological and behavioural needs of their animals.
We insist that animals are given plenty of space and fresh air to thrive and grow - guaranteeing a truly free range life.
Fairly traded
A fair and adequate quality of life, work satisfaction and working environment is provided for all staff involved.
