Patty Pan Squash (lovely roasted with garlic)
Celeriac (lovely in Hollandaise Sauce)
Khol Rabi (nice in casseroles, and raw while in the kitchen cookin stuff)
No point in writing it down, since I agree with what everyone posted before me (apart from spelling ). To be fair though I wouldn’t have known what kind of squash/punpkin that is. Kohlrabi is one of my favourite veggies ever, best enjoyed raw in my opinion. When I moved to England I was rather sad to find out that most people don’t know it. I can only get it in Indian corner shops – and hopefully soon in my veg box
We agree with everyone else, except that Kohl Rabi is known as alien veg here (it was described as such in a recipe card and the children caught on!). They love eating it as well!!
Love the vegetables, just like the ones my family grew,
saves an OAP carrying a heavy basket. Who is the mystery mab who delivers them?
Seasons greetings.
I agree with everyone – pattypan squash, celeriac and kohlrabi. I really like celeriac – a lovely delicate flavour for such an alien looking veg! Last year I took a photo of one and ramped up the colours to put online … it was fun getting people to guess what it was!!
