We’re awash in beautiful, crunchy, UK apples. The season started a couple of weeks ago and so we pootled off down the A21 to visit Paul and Sara Ward at Mole End Farm.
Paul and Sara grow most of our apples, pears and plums. And they make loads of amazing juice, it’s like summer, but bottled.
This is Paul.
This is Ted. He’s worked on the farm for 61 years.
We saw some apples.
We saw some pears.
We saw some plums.
(snazzy watch Paul)
We saw some bees.
This is them close up.
What a lovely day. Thanks Paul for having us round.

So good to know they’re coming from quite near us, to put faces to the fruit, and to see bees on hand. looking forward to a taste next week.

I just love the discovery apple season, it reminds me of when I used to collect the fallen apples then go blackberrying and finally take them home to mum who would make delicious blackberry and apple crumble.

Ted doesn’t look old enough to have worked on the farm for that long! Must be the effect of all that fruit….
