Yay if you have! We’ll be in touch shortly to let you know where your nearest collection point is, or find an alternative means of taking your kind donation.
Do spread the word about the bike drop if you can. The more the merrier. We need 650 to fill one container, as some will be broken down into useable parts if the bike as a whole is past its peak. But every bike donated will be sent to Africa by Re~Cycle, and given out via partner charities.
N.B. Any bikes resembling this may not be of use to anyone, anymore…
If you haven’t yet pledged a bike but would like to…let us know here – www.abelandcole.co.uk/bigbikedrop, or email us on bigbikedrop@abelandcole.co.uk
Let us know how long your pledged bike has been unwanted…has it been replaced by a younger model? Or share fond cycling memories and even some great bicycle maintenance tips…

Hi, I’ve donated my bike which has been in the shed for two years. I have gone deaf in one ear and as a result have a very poor sense of balance and I can’t stay on it. Hope someone can make good use of it…

Will puncture repair kits and pumps be provided for the eventual recipients? Also, (probably pushing things too far – could any cycle helmets also be donated . maybe mine will fit someone?

Hi Sue,
Any of these can be donated…yes please! And recipients will have access to everything they need to keep their bike all in working order. The last thing they want is to let it fall apart, so there are workshops and groups there to help.
Let us know what you can donate, we’ll be grateful of it all! Thank you!
