Lye Cross Farm is owned by the Alvis family, who have fifty years of cheese making experience. It is based at the foot of the Mendip hills, in Somerset, and only a few miles from the village of Cheddar. All of their cheeses are made using traditional methods.
This smooth and creamy West Country Farmhouse Cheddar is made the old-fashioned way, but is much milder in flavour than our other Cheddars. It is only aged for a few months, giving it a delicate, mellow taste for those who don’t like strong cheddars. It’s a great one for children, or for cooking!
