These gorgeous condiments are made by Nicola and Robert Young of Atkins and Potts (the team who make our fab salad dressings and chutneys). Last summer, we spent a bit of time with them in the kitchen working up these recipes as we wanted a truly impeccable, organic hollandaise to drizzle over our asparagus.
We then started to think of other classic condiments that rarely have an organic option – English mustard, horseradish (oh so lovely with cold roast beef and beetroot!), and mint sauce. Thus, the Young's brand of organic condiments was born.
Everything is made by hand – just like Granny used to make. Nicola and Robert work in the stunning Berkshire countryside, just outside Newbury.
Delicately creamy with the heat of fresh horseradish fighting through, a dab of this makes for an extraordinary cold roast beef sandwich. It's also marvellous with smoked fish and beetroot. Or, swirl a spoonful into a buttery mash.
Prepared horseradish (49.3%), Sunflower Oil (29.59%), Water (7.9%), Spirit Vinegar (4.9%), Egg Yolk (4.3%), Sugar, Sea Salt*, Mustard flour, Xanthan Gum (* = Approved non-organic ingredient)
